Ao4 interview behaviour

Johnathan Ross and will smith.

To break the ice will smith came down to a band playing a song, maybe trying to make him feel at home. Johnathan Ross showed that he was listening because when will smith was talking about something Johnathan would comment about it and be int rested in it, he would also use his hands which showed he was engaging in the interview. I think that would make will smith very comfortable. will smith was sat back and relaxed, Johnathan Ross included the crowd which would of helped will smith feel comfortable. There was a table between them which probably made it easier because if there was no desk it would be a bit awkward. will smith was being himself and that's what made it a good interview. The interview was unstructured because Johnathan would ask will smith a random question which he probably was not going to ask, just to make him and the crowd laugh.

Interview Location and recording methods.
To have a good interview you would need it in the right place where its quiet and where there is no distractions, that will make the person in the interview quiet. When you are asking questions make sure its clear make sure your hands are not other your mouth, use them to make it look like you engaging and int rested in the interview. You can record a interview if it goes on for to long time you might not be able to take every bit of information in, you can right it shorter and make it easier for your self then you can listen back on the interview and add more to the answers. You can to interviews in loads of places but it depends on what you doing the interview on, say you were doing a interview about maths for example, you wouldn't do it in a sports hall you would do it in a work room. so it depends on what your interviewing for.

Animal testing.

Rights
animal testing help us find cures for cancer etc. Its right because if you had family that needed help you would want the drugs they use to be safe, you wouldn't want doctors giving them a lea full drug. animals immune systems are stronger so  if they did have a test it would have more chance of working that it might to on a human. animal testing safe our lives and help its going to make us have a stable future in health.

Wrong
Animal testing is a cruel thing that modern researchers constantly resort to in the name of human benefit and progress. Causing pain to innocent animals cannot be justified no matter how much profit it could potentially bring. using another living thing to help humans is cruel because they are exactly the same. live, eat, drink, mate. testing could put the animals life at risk.
Animals are very important on Earth.
Do we have the right to make them suffer for us?
On the other hand, creating cures for diseases is good.

    1. What is the Law designed to do?
The Data Protection Act (DPA) is a law designed to protect personal data stored on computers or in an organized paper filing system.

    1. When and why did there become a need for the Law to be passed?
The 1998 Data Protection Act was passed by Parliament to control the                    way information is handled and to give legal rights to people who have information stored about them.

There are some complete and partial exemptions, where personal data are not covered by the Law. What are they?

    Complete exemptions
Any personal data that is held for a national security reason is not covered. So MI5 and MI6 don't have to follow the rules. They do need to get a Government Minister to sign a
certificate saying that they are exempt.

    Partial exemptions
investigators do not have to show people their files
The taxman or police do not have to disclose information held or processed to prevent crime or taxation fraud. Criminals cannot see their police files. Tax or VAT

    AO3 Defenition

    privacy
defenition = someone's right to keep their personal matters and relationships secret
The new law is designed to protect people's privacy. the state of being alone I hate sharing a bedroom - I never get any privacy.

example = if your writing a email to a friend in priacy you wouldnt want them to no and you would want them to keep it quiet.

    confidentiality

defenition = when something is confidential
patient/client confidentiality. All replies will be treated with complete confidentiality

example = if you go to the docters only you and the docter will no what had gone on because it would be confidential.

    anonymity

defenition=  when someone's name is not given or known
The police have reassured witnesses who may be afraid to come forward that they will be guaranteed anonymity.

example= if you have come in to the police stations and told the truth about someone doing a crime. ther police wont say well this man said this, they would keep it at anonymity.

its is important that research is confindentitial because, people may tell other people and then loads of people no stuff about you that they shouldnt no.

    ANONYMOUS/CONFIDENTIAL

The information you give us for your questionnaire will be kept anonymous so no one would be able to find out who you are. it will be all confidential so no one would be able see this quetionnaire and it will be all kept from everyone.

    Ao1 personal accounts

    Stanley and Brian
I think its an emotional clip of brian and stanley. they gave loads of good information and they told you in detail which made you feel like you was acually there, they could remember every little thing that happened that day. i think if i was in brians shoes i would of saved stanley because i think if your going to save someone you have more chance of being safe with someone there. and it will make you think about getting out. insted of thinking, im going to die. stanley said go on dont worry about me i think he just gave up and thought he had no chance, but then brian said think about your family and i think thats what gave him the currage to be saved and get out. they then got split up and brian thought it was all in his mind, which can happen when your in a shock and something terrible is happening, but then he found sanleys card in his pocket and that proved that it was real. i think if brian dint save stanley they would of both died, but finding each other in there i think encouraged them to get of the tower.

GEORGE BEAN AO1 assesment of information sourses.

    AO1
    FILMS
    Assessment of source
The movie I am focusing on is saving Private Ryan this film is based on a true story in D Day ww2.  The film is about 4 brothers  all in the war, three brothers die, so there mission is they need to find the forth brother to take him home to his family.  But on the way to find him they run in to trouble and then  haft to fight and risk there lives to safe “Ryan”.
    Strengths
The strengths are that it gives you a good idea on what the war was like.  It’s easy to watch, you can watch from the telly, Internet, and cinemas.  It can also educate you in some way, if you were doing a task on the army you can watch these films for research.
    Weaknesses
They make the film entertaining, adding stuff that wouldn’t happen in war, this is called "artistic licence”.
This is the trailer on the film saving Private Ryan.
This trailer gives you a good idea on what the films actually like, its doesn’t give it away but its shows a lot what happens.
This is the front cover of the film, saving Private Ryan. This looks like a good war movie.

    Evaluation
watching films gives you really good information on what happened in the war even if its not true. and because you concentrating on watching the film you will take it all in. so watching films makes you learn about stuff that went on in the army.
why this would be good in the public services
i dint think films would be much use in the public services because you wont really need to watch a film to help you.
    Personal accounts.

personal accounts, someone who was there and telling you about there story and saying what actually happened.
    strengths.
They can show real emotions on what happened so you would get a good idea on what happened. which is really good information. They can be accurate so it gives you really good detail. showing emotions could mean its really true so that's a strength.
    weaknesses.
They could be unreliable and miss important things that you would like to no. They could maybe even lie and give you information that is not true. They might not be able to remember most of what happened because it was so long ago.  sometimes if you were in such a shocking Incident you may see things that are not true or you might miss, this will be Unreliable.
    Evaluation
having personal accounts gives you good information and good ideas on what happened, personal accounts can tell you everything you wanna no and anything that the people remember. personal accounts can make a big difference in your work.
why this would be good in the public services
this would be very god in a public serves because if you have caught a criminal they would take the persons personal accounts and if they do something wrong in the future they would be able to tell if it was them or not.
    DOCUMENTARY
    Assessment of source
A documentary is real footage from real life incidents from being in the army, you can accesses them on the telly Internet and buy them in shops.  They are reliable and always give good information.
    Strengths
It shows loads of good information about what they do so you get everything you look for, it can teach you a lot.  It gives you an idea how it is in the army and how scary it can be, its real not fake,  no of it is artistic because they wouldn’t acted different in front of a camera they would still take it serious and do the job well.
     Weaknesses
When they do interviews with some people, they might lie; they might make up something that’s not even true. They could be playing up to the cameras to make it look a better doc.  Might not show everything they do to keep it private, but they make you think it is everything you do.
this is a link to YouTube about the bomb disposal  it shows how it like in the army doing that role, its not the documentary but it’s a good video.

This is a picture of someone disposing a bomb, its shows how much you need to be on the ball, it looks a scary job and they do it well.
    Evaluation
this is a really good source of information, documentaries show really good clips and its all real. everything you see is true and that's why documentaries are good.
why this would be good in the public services
i dont think documentries would be that good for a public servies because it shows whats happening in a public serves, maybe it would be good if you were training for one.
    FORENSIC SCIENCE
Forensic science is where you can find out ways of how people have died and how they died, it gives you all information you need. They can find out if you were killed by someone and from DNA they can find out who it is. Forensic science is probably the best evidences you can get. They can do all this even if it happened years ago. Even if there are not any remains or its just a skeleton they can find out through dental records and they can look at teeth and then prove its the right person.
    STRENGTHS
The strengths in forensic science its you can get just is if one of your family members have been killed, forensic science has the power to find the killer from DNA. You can get stuff back like rings ear rings. They can find out if they were raped and murdered. And strength could be a relief that you have at least found the person who died. And then maybe get just is.
    WEAKNESSES
It can’t give you all the facts you need, it would just be limited.  A few hours before the death you family or friends might of touched or kissed them this could lead to the family and friends being accused of killing the victim, so you could get them blame for something you haven’t done.
This is a video of forensic science; it shows how they find evidence and what they do with it. They take peoples DNA to find out who the murderer could be.

This is a picture of people doing forensic science finding out what happened and who it is.
    Evaluation
forensic science is a really big strength in finding out stuff and catching people. its good to have forensic science because with out it there would be hooligans out and about now. putting weaknesses are good to put because people can look and maybe go yeah that is wrong, and they will sort it out until there is no weaknesses.
why this would be good in the public services
forensic science would be good for the police because if they are looking for a murderers  they can look on the victims body for clues. and then try and trace the killer.
    Pictures
Pictures are images of loads of different things, but the pictures were on about have a story behind them, these pictures show what’s happening. Pictures are good evidence of World War 1 and 2 etc.
    Strengths.
They give good detail and you can actually see what happening. There are millions of pictures to find mostly reliable. They are real life images not fake ones.
    Weaknesses
They might not show enough detail in the picture. They might not be reliable. There are loads of pictures on the web and you might be able to find the right ones.

In this picture it tells you that the man on the right is looking and seeing where the enemy are and what they are doing, encase they are shooting at them. And the man on the right is ready to fire at the enemy on the other side of the battlefield.
This picture show it’s in that they are being shot at and being bombed. They are running to get safe from all this. As you can see there is someone dead on the battle field. This picture was probably from World War 2.
In this picture it show that the troop were just walking and then a bomb has gone of next to them or the enemy has started shooting at them. As you can see someone has fell over so he might have been shot at.

This picture shows that they are in the combat field ready to fire at the enemy using a heavy machine gun which is taking 2 people. This is an old picture of world war 2.

    Evaluation
Its good to have pictures because without them we wouldn’t really no a lot of stuff that happened or happens in the army. I think pictures are a good strength if you’re looking for them. And although they are just pictures they give really good information.
why this would be good in the public services
some pictures would be good for the army and the police, for the police it would be good for a missing person. if they were after someone. and the army could be the same.
    Official records
    Summary
Official records are on people and there records are on the dental, heath, and just about them. Say if there was a group in Afghanistan that would mean we would have official records on who was in charge, how many people and what we did, it covers everything. They have official records from the wars such as World War 2 and they also do sporting events.
    Strengths
Official records are very reliable, everything is the truth. Its good detailed information. It tells you exactly what you want to no.
    Weaknesses
The official record maybe over exaggerated and something that happened but it was not really a big thing to tell. Some can be misleading.
This is a website on official records it shows loads of information on them.
    Evaluation
Official records are good because you wouldn’t no the history of people and what they did or what they looked like. Having personal records is a really big strength .
why this would be good in the public services
this would be good in the police because you can keep records of everyone who has been in a incident.
    CD ROM
    SUMMARY
A CD ROM is a big memory stick which holds loads of stuff that you have saved on to it, work etc.
    Strenghts
You can store loads of your own information on it and you won’t lose it because it’s saved into it. It gives you all your specific information you need. It’s easier to find than just looking for books.
    Weaknesses
You could lose it and then you will need to pay for a new one and that all you stuff lost, and the same if you break it. It can’t be updated as well.
    Evaluation
CD Roms were good in the time but I think they are not very good now. Because of the Internet taking over and all the over memory sticks and documents that are here now.
why this is good for the public services
CD Roms are not really good anymore. they would usually use documents where you can save loads and loads of information.
    INTERNET
    Summary
The Internet is the biggest search engine in the world, anything you want to no it’s on there; there is nothing you can’t find. Its holds billions of websites and billions of information but the way you can get this is by computer or phone, ipod.
    Strengths
It gets updated every minute so there is more information going in all the time. There are so many sources, so anything you want to no it’s on there.  It’s easy and fast. In some way with out it you wouldn’t know much what’s going on in the world because most news is updated on the Internet.
    Weaknesses
There are too many sources and you might not be able to find the right one. Could be bias in search results. Some stuff could be unreliable for you. And you can get computer bugs meaning you could go on a website and it could be a site the can hack in to your account and mess up your Internet.
    Evaluation
the Internet is the biggest thing in the world. Everything you want to no you can find it on the Internet.
why this is good for the public service
the Internet is good for every public service, without the Internet the public services wouldn't be as equipped as they are now.
    Paintings, drawing.
    Overview
Paintings and drawings are done by hand. Some are big some are small. They give you good detail on what is happening in the painting drawing. Paintings are usually done in the olden days where they did not have cameras. So paintings are a part of our history. Where as pictures are as well but pictures are still being used today.
    Strengths
They show loads of detail on what is happening. There are loads pictures and paintings you can find and look at. There loads to choose and you can find them any where. They are a part of history.
    Weaknesses
There are millions of pictures and paintings so finding the right one might be hard. They some paintings might be a little over exaggerated. You would never really know if the painting was made up or if it was from a real event that actually happened.
This is a painting of World War 1, showing the army fighting on the battle field. But this painting could have been made up and this event might not have happened.
This is a picture of World War 1; it shows they are fighting on the battle field. And because it’s a picture it’s believable
    Evaluation
I think pictures are a good source of information because they are real life where as a painting might not be real life.
Why the is good for the public serves
I suppose pictures would be good if you were working in the police force, it could be good for evidence. I don’t think paintings would be much use in the police serves.

Summary: On the 17th August 1980, the Chamberlain family was camping at Uluru in Australia's Northern Territory, when at around eight o'clock at night, they heard a cry from the tent where their ten week old baby girl and four year old son were sleeping. Rushing to the tent, the mother of the child, Lindy saw a dingo near the tent's entrance and upon entering, realised with horror that her baby daughter Azaria, was missing and all that remained was a pool of blood on the floor. The police arrived and a search was organized but no traces of the baby were found.
The Chamberlains were interviewed the next morning and only some of the bloodstained items were removed from the tent, with many being left behind. The family was interviewed again later on that same day, by a different officer who thought the Chamberlains' recounts of the previous night were suspicious. A week passed and no new evidence was found, that is, until a tourist found Azaria's vest and jumpsuit. But despite this new piece of evidence, the crime scene was not sealed off and a full examination of the clothing was never conducted. This lack of proper crime scene and evidence analysis led the police to believe that Lindy Chamberlain was lying about her story. The lack of dingo bite marks and saliva on Azaria's jumpsuit and the fact that the baby's shoes were still tied inside the jumpsuit while the vest was inside out, heightened the police's suspicion even further. In 1981, it was however, concluded that Azaria was indeed taken by a dingo, allowing Lindy and Michael Chamberlain to at last get over the accusations after the tragic loss of their child and move on with everyday life.

    Johnathan Ross and will smith.

Today, we learnt about how much a interview can change by just the location.
There are two ways to record an interview. Writing it up or using a recorder.
Challenges:It is difficult for most people to multi-task, so write and listen at the same time.

I had a bunch of text so I muddled it all up on wordle and here are the results. This just gives you a view on what some of the people said. You have a mix of the Army, Navy and other public services, it also shows the key words about them. Important, support, rescue.
